Went solo this morning at B&B with Catherine booked in for boot camp on Wednesday.
Tough morning with the surf up and a notherly blowing in - making it hard work getting out to the Point through some pretty big waves. Once out the back though it was flattish for the trip across to Shelly. Some beautiful wildlife on the outward leg, with at least 4 rays and 2 schools of fish just off Shelly. Stunning.
The trip back was a little bit more eventful once I reached the Point and things got even tougher as I tried to make my way into shore - I must have got nailed by at least 8 x sets as I struggled into the beach. Most people walked back. Not quite big Friday, but not far off it!

Shelly - Manly: 14.56
