Lunchtime dip

I ventured up to Cook & Phillip Park at lunchtime for a pool swim. My first since the lesson last week and I was keen to practice some of the things Jules had told me to work on.

I spent the whole time doing various drills, concentrating on engaging the right muscles in the pull, maintaining a smooth glide, keeping a high elbow through the recovery, bending the elbow slightly before the catch and pulling all the way through to the push - smiley face.

Used the pool buoy for around 600m - mainly to help the glide.

Felt heavy in the water after all the wet suit/salt water swimming I have ben doing recently.

All up 1.6km. Probably one of the most enjoyable pool swims I have done in recent times!
