After a 3 week lay off due to holidays and Ric’s new arrival, it was back to Court 1 to resume squash hostilities.
I went 7-0 up in game 1, eventually winning to 7, before Ric fought back (with the help of a regular slice of luck I might add) to take a 2-1 lead, including game 3 which he won to love! I evened things up at 2-2, with a victory to 1 before Ric took out the decider to 5 after a hard fought final game. Some good rallies in the last game, but overall a disappointing match in which I never really felt comfortable. A lack of motivation perhaps? Still, a good work out, and nice to mix it up amongst all the riding and swimming I have been doing.
