Finally bit the bullet, succumbed to Tim's lobbying and decided to try the Ian Thorpe pool for a swim.
Jogged the 2km or so across to the pool and whilst Tim cranked out 2km straight I was left in the slow lane with what has now become my best friend - the pool buoy.
All up I managed 1300m in a mixture of drills and free strokes.
No idea if I am getting there but at odd times it was feeling a little better...small steps.
On the upside, it is a lovely pool though...and who knows, I might even make a repeat visit on Friday.
