On a showery, cool day (perfect for running), I managed to sneak out at lunchtime for what will become my default tempo midweek route.
Feeling decidedly average to start with, I soon got into a fair pace, up over the Anzac Bridge and around the Glebe Foreshore.
Deciding not to push the pace over the first few km's, and learning from last week's mistake, I was able to hold a constant pace around the wharves, and despite the best efforts of my stomach, I was able to finish strongly in 50.28, for 11.26km, averaging 4.28/km.
Not bad, and 50 seconds quicker than last week - probably due to the weather than my fitness though.
Had to make a mercy dash to the facilities afterwards....that's the price to pay for a PB I guess!
