Met up with Tim and Roly on a spectacular winter's morning for our last hit out before the big one next week.
The aim was to run at race pace for 18km, and with that in mind, we headed off towards to Shelly before looping back to Queenscliff. From there we continued through the lagoon before tracking out along Pittwater Road to Brookvale oval before looping around the industrial estate and retracing our steps back to Shelly, dropping Tim off at the Corso and Roly at North Steyne.
All up 18km in 1.24 @ 4.40's. Felt a little quick for me, but that's to be expected one week from D-Day. Legs felt strong.
Lots of chat about tactics for next week with everything from sub 4.30's to aiming to cover the first half in 95 mins...at the moment, I'll just settle for a PB!
